You guys. What a shitty day. We’ve just gotten word that Wall Street 2 has been pushed back from its April 23rd release date to….get this..September 24.
According to the Hollywood Reporter,
Fox is bumping Oliver Stone’s Wall Street sequel to the fall.“Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” will be released on Sept. 24 instead of April 23 as previously planned. Michael Douglas reprises his role from the franchise original, with Shia LaBeouf co-starring in the sequel.
No reasons were given, but we’re guessing the extra months are needed so they can cut out ALL scenes involving Carey. They do want to make money off of this, right??
Why do you guys think it’s been pushed back???
Apparently it’s so they can show at Cannes in May.

First of all, does Shia really deserves an academy award? He’s a great actor, no doubt on that, but he hasn’t done anything extraordinary, if you know what I mean.
And it’s been pushed back due to Festival Season, promotional stuff and things like that. That’s the way this business works.
And if you were true fans, you shouldn’t be sad or angry. And at least you shouldn’t say such stupid things like “They need the time to cut Carey out”. That’s childish and not supportive at all, Shiantology.

and Shia deserve many awards for his awesome talent.

They are pushing the date to September probably to give it a better chance at the box office. The movies opening in April may take away from this movie and as a result they may not make as much money. Opening in September will give it a better chance since the other movies opening then probably won’t stand a chance against Wall Street 2 . I hate when they do this to us.

LOL! more than likely they pushed WS2 back for promo & money reasons. its gonna be hard to compete with summer blockbusters like IRON MAN 2 & so forth. but then again, FOX Searchlight has Smurfs and a Chipmunk 3D movie to push out at the same time as WS2 which is rather ridiculous and humiliating. there’s alot of baggage attached with this movie with charlie sheen & his wife, mike douglas & his son cameron with drugs, shia & whatever is goin on with carey etc. its a hot ass mess. the delay of the movie sucks, but its a SMART ass move. hollywood politics…welcome 2 tinsletown my friends:)
