i agree with everything u said rollin. i just thought people would come back after the crazies left. i mean, yesterday was the worst day that i can recall, but we’ve had some pretty rough patches before and people usually bounce back. i think it’s also been kinda tough for people because summertime is usually shia time, and this is the longest we’ve gone without a new shia movie/press tour.
the more i think about it, the more i think all his controversial tf2/indy 4 remarks were extremely shrewd in terms of timing. he pays enough attention to know that some people wouldn’t like them. but he consciously chose a high profile platform (an international film festival) to share his feelings to make sure people would see them. but he also knew that he would have a good 4-6 months during which the reaction would die down, before he had to return to the public eye. this way, not only does he finally get to come clean and be honest, but he remains a heated topic of conversation which keeps him relevant while he personally retreats from the public eye (as evidenced by the rarity of seeing him in paparazzi pics this year).

1. Shia looks good all cleaned up in those photos, however, his build is getting too big. it is like his upper body is way too big for his lower body, something does not look right.

Does anyone think that Shia will continue the “Legacy”? I know it will and rightfuly so should not be called Indy, but Mutt Jones (in place of Indiana Jones).
I really hope so. The only down fall to that is if Mutt is in the 70′s time period he will have gross longish “hippie” hair and a beard, but then again, Indy was always clean cut.

i knew it! i had a feeling when shia made the indy 4 comments it was because they were deep into development for a new movie and he was either afraid spielberg/lucas were making the same mistakes or reminding them not to. it would have been useless to make those comments after pre-production and the script was finalized because then it would have been too late to make any changes. this way, he kinda challenged two of the most renowned film makers of their generation to get their ish together. pretty freakin genius if you ask me.

i agree with everything u said rollin. i just thought people would come back after the crazies left. i mean, yesterday was the worst day that i can recall, but we’ve had some pretty rough patches before and people usually bounce back. i think it’s also been kinda tough for people because summertime is usually shia time, and this is the longest we’ve gone without a new shia movie/press tour.
the more i think about it, the more i think all his controversial tf2/indy 4 remarks were extremely shrewd in terms of timing. he pays enough attention to know that some people wouldn’t like them. but he consciously chose a high profile platform (an international film festival) to share his feelings to make sure people would see them. but he also knew that he would have a good 4-6 months during which the reaction would die down, before he had to return to the public eye. this way, not only does he finally get to come clean and be honest, but he remains a heated topic of conversation which keeps him relevant while he personally retreats from the public eye (as evidenced by the rarity of seeing him in paparazzi pics this year).

as far as my opinion about his actual comments, the only thing i will say is that although i do not always agree with everything he says, i appreciate the fact that he always SAYS something. i just read bradley cooper’s details interview today. 10 minutes of my life that i will never get back–totally useless. didn’t learn anything and didn’t read anything remotely interesting, genuine, or controversial. and i remember reading zac efron’s gq interview (i like to keep tabs on the competition) and that guy is so BORING!!! tries way to hard to be perfect. one of my favorite things about shia is that he ISN’T perfect. he has flaws that he’s not obsessed with hiding, just like everyone else. some he is aware of and others not so much, but i always get the sense that he is trying to constantly grow, evolve, and mature as a person. where’s the reward in rooting for a seemingly perfect person when you can root for someone who is aspiring to be better and hoping they succeed?

Only children of Alcoholics tend to try to please the parent who did not pay attention to them and/or abused them. They will do anything to get their attention even if it means to look and act like the toxic parent. I wonder if Shia is like this. It will be sad if that is the case, but remember he did have very long hair and a very thick beard before all of this Cannes/filming of TF3.
I hope that his father is not only visiting Shia on the set to get a ride from him. There is nothing worse than someone “you think” loves you or is your friend/family using you. But again ACOA tend to seek attention and they will over look this toxic behaviour.
Shia needs to stand up to his dad or he will be miserable (if he dad is toxic to him).
As for Carey, wow that must be a totally different life for her, cause her dad looks like a cool fun dude (the pics from Just Jared or Getty Images when it was Carey’s Oscar weekend). Now she had to deal with something totally different if he is like that. Poor Carey as well.

Okay a couple of things to address here.
1. Shia looks good all cleaned up in those photos, however, his build is getting too big. it is like his upper body is way too big for his lower body, something does not look right.
2. If that is his pops I think that he has changed, can’t be him cause his pops looked all cleaned up in the last set of pics of him.

Great news that Shia is going to be in the 5th installment of Indy.
Does anyone think that Shia will continue the “Legacy”? I know it will and rightfuly so should not be called Indy, but Mutt Jones (in place of Indiana Jones).
I really hope so. The only down fall to that is if Mutt is in the 70′s time period he will have gross longish “hippie” hair and a beard, but then again, Indy was always clean cut.
Oh and the plot line of this new Indy 5 sounds fascinating. I wonder where the will film at.

i knew it! i had a feeling when shia made the indy 4 comments it was because they were deep into development for a new movie and he was either afraid spielberg/lucas were making the same mistakes or reminding them not to. it would have been useless to make those comments after pre-production and the script was finalized because then it would have been too late to make any changes. this way, he kinda challenged two of the most renowned film makers of their generation to get their ish together. pretty freakin genius if you ask me.

Yeah, guys that have shia’s build tend to be very aggressive and extremely abusive. I am not saying for sure that shia is like this but I would not doubt it for a second (that is just my perspective of this).
