I just wrote comments under return of the PHO. As far as this video, I enjoyed the stark black and white cinematography very much. Kid Cudi looked very good with his hat on too. As far as the violence, it is how things are…but I think that when you show violence or drugs (which causes a lot of violence), it’s important to show a reason for it. This was just violence for violence sake. It’s like singing about drugs.
That song, “I was gonna clean my room & then I got high” is good. That’s because at the end he loses everything, but goes to rehab & says that “I lost my wife & my kid and now I know why.”
In my town recently some drug addict was driving real close to a jogger. The jogger yelled at the car to slow down & the driver got out of the car & shot the guy dead. Now I don’t know for certain, but probably the driver who got out of the car was probably not thinking clearly. And I’m not wondering why.
Shia just needs to show consequences for bad actions. Kids see that stuff & some don’t understand.
But that was a big improvement over the other stuff he’s directed. Black & white film does great things in some movies. It was a dark subject & Shia picked the perfect film to emphasize it. (I sure would be disappointed to find out he did it to save money on this project.)
I loved American Gangster & I am shocked it wasn’t a bigger film. It showed scenes where the guy was making all this big money & it showed babies crying & the mother drugged off asleep. It showed the consequences.
@EmilyVP So I know Twitter isn’t always reliable, but if it makes you feel any better about KPho being there for Shia, there was a sighting of them in Van on Oct. 16, which would have been three days after the bar incident and before the CMJ Fest even started.

The question “Is Shia LaBeouf gay?” has been a blogger topic ever since the actor’s reaction to being called a gay slur back in February. At least one person is sure to hold the answer to that question… his girlfriend, Karolyn Pho.
Yes, Shia LaBeouf has a girlfriend. He and Karolyn Pho were caught by paparazzi in quite the lip lock just the other day. Shia is in Vancouver, Canada, filming a new movie, The Company We Keep.
But back to that lip lock and questions about whether LaBeouf is gay or not, at least from the opinion of the guys in the bar room brawl back in February. The photo shows a very mousey LaBeouf in a gray suit, craning his neck uncomfortably as Karolyn plants one on him. She is grabbing right ahold of Shia and pulling him close.
The two were caught in this awkward moment while the actor was on a coffee break. The question is this: does the photograph actually answer the question of Shia LaBeouf’s sexuality?
Actually it really doesn’t answer anything, especially the “is he gay or not” question, not that it is anyone’s business, except for him and Karolyn Pho. One thing is for sure, he looks pretty uncomfortable kissing his girlfriend in front of the paparazzi’s cameras. Maybe those guys back at Mad Bull’s tavern were on to something.

Lynn I am glad you brought it to my attention that maybe she was up there. But I read she was at a music festival the whole time. So who knows! We can’t even get a factual answer about political problems, let alone twitter, rag mags, etc.

Making a kissing picture look cute is actually hard to do. I know because I have tried. Some of these photos might look awkward because it’s real life. They were not shot in a studio, and it is ridiculous to think a photo can determine a persons sexuality. Karolyn is luckier than all of us she gets to drink coffee with Shia lol.
