Yo I have not been on here i a couple of days. Where is Em (VP)? I ask this cause she is so observant, well I will say what I think about the new photo’s of pho and shia. I think that pho looks a lot more into shia. Shia also looks lost and sad. I think pho is draining Shia emotionally. The reason I think he is with her is cause he keeps on telling himself that him and pho are in real love, but he is living a fantasy world of what he wants pho to be. Look I could be wrong, my mind is clouded with this other guy that I crush on right now (he is not a winner either…boy I sure know how to pick these guys..NOT), no more crushing on Shia. The only reason I come here is that I am concerned about Shia’s happiness.

Hi Gang… I saw a pic on JJ of Kpho & Shia. Shia just looked mad. (which is his usual pose when not working at least a lot of the time) I just hope they don’t go out drinking, because he may get drunk again & get hurt or hurt someone else. He needs a gf that lays down the law or threatens to leave. Kpho is just going along to get along. That won’t do. If she loves him, she won’t stand for him getting hurt and she will give him the either or routine. If he loves her, then he will stop. If he doesn’t, she better find out now for her own good cause being with a drinker leads to a lot of misery. (both for the drinker & for those around him)
Also read rumors that he mouths off to people in a hurtful way, trying to imitate Michael Bay. Wow. Sure hope he picks up some class from Robert Redford. RR has so much class that I read that he introduced himself to Kpho. That’s class. Should have been Shia’s job, however Shia could have been filming when RR did it. But RR had enough class to make Kpho feel welcome.
I don’t pretend to know everything about the situation, but I know some things. People who love put up with bad behavior for 2 reasons, they are either afraid of losing the loved one or they just don’t know what to do. Kpho has to be one or the other. Only she knows where she stands on this issue. However either way, she is not doing Shia any good, nor herself.
I hope she gets inspired from the Rebeccah Osborne who tells Shia to, “Put the drink down now because I want a kind, sober & loving husband for my children. This is our first fight or our last one. It’s up to you.” Just like Ben Schulberg (Shia’s character in TCYK) stopped drinking & smoking for Rebeccah because he loved her. Shia will do the same for Kpho, if he loves her.
Unfortunately this could go on for years.

They are releasing WCITW in spring of 2012. Rumor has it that we may get a trailer Dec 2011. I can’t believe we are waiting this long. One of the clips I read said that they might bring the complete movie to Cannes. I thought it was at Cannes & that’s why Weinstein picked it up. Oh well, it wasn’t complete then, so maybe if they show it completed it may have a chance for awards. Do any of you know if that could be true?

I read in the official page of the producer Michael Benaroya( the producer of Wettest County)that The Weinstein Company acquired The Wettest County in The World and is preparing for a spring 2012 release.

The Wettest County will be opening against Scary Movie 5 (a franchise which should really be going straight-to-video at this point), the thriller The House at the End of the Street starring Jennifer Lawrence and Elizabeth Shue, the Zac Efron romance flick The Lucky One, and Luc Besson‘s sci-fi movie Lockout.
I´m very dissapointed with this release date.
Like you I expected to premiere in Cannes.
There will be no chance of getting any award…

WOE IS ME! If I remember correctly, they started filming WCITW in Feb or Mar of 2010, I was 64. They were done filming in May 2011, by then I was 65. Now it won’t be released until Apr 2012. I will be 66! If this keeps up, I may be dead before it’s released. LOL
Pretty crazy if you ask me. LOL
Go to Vancouver is Awesome site & it shows new pics of Shia, RR and others while they are filming. (I think I am too old to learn how to do that thing everyone else can do on here. LOL) But at least you can see his pics. But no rush on it, since he is still wearing the same garb. LOL

I honestly think its heart breaking that it seems that this chick,Karolyn is not really a good match for Shia in many factors.

A few things I would like to discuss that I observed on here.
- its not appropriate to poke fun about Christians/Christianity
-Shia never mentioned on Ellen that Shayna is always asking when Shia is going to be married, for God’s sake Shayna is hippie and hippies are far from someone who follows society
-Shia comes across to me as when it comes to marriage as commitment phobe

Well said by Pumpkin Spice Latte! I agree. I am still here & I still read the comments here & IMDB. It’s pretty quite, but I think that the movie filming rapped up for the Thanksgiving holiday. Soon we will see endless pics of Shia & Kpho getting gas & lattes.
About the possibility of Shia settling down, I do see him as commit phobic too. But I do think he really loves Kpho. However if they do start breeding, this could be an answer to prayers. Look at it this way, once he sees his own baby, he will take good care of himself because he will want the best for his child. Being a dad could be the catalyst that gets him to mature. It would change Kpho too. But I still wish for a very laid back, logical thinking girl with an already successful career who lays the law down about the drinking.
I don’t believe for a minute that Shia or his family & friends would waste their time reading about his movie fans comments. I think they are too busy with their own lives. For that matter, when I was working full time, I bought 2 computers & never used them because I was just too busy. Because I’m retired I can enjoy a lot of extra stuff now. I have time for the first time in my life & it’s turned out better than I ever imagined.
Plus I will never understand anyone being on a computer for 8 hrs at work & going on it again at home. His parents are enjoying their hobbies plus GF keeps herself busy. I’m sure his friends are busy with their lives too. So I don’t think we would be hurting their feelings. Besides the worst thing you can do to anyone is ignore them completely. If Shia or his family came on here, they would at least know people care about him.
I sure hope we get a trailer soon for Wettest County because that would be a nice Christmas present for his fans.

I am so glad that you still come here and post.I do agree I think they are wrapping TCYK in Canada for the Thanksgiving holiday.I do not mind seeing new pics of Shia out and about without the thick icky beard and no Kpho either.He does not come across or look nearly as happy with her compared to the others he dated in my opinion.Personally, I think its way to premature to think of Shia tsking it to the extent of engagement/marriage level. Like I said he appears to be commitment phobe.He is still very young.
Yes I do agree he will be a good dad and if he has a girl she will probably be Daddy’s girl.

Bottom line, don’t believe in alot what you read because if it were true it would be all over the net like bees are to honey.

on a side note i read that Shia’s ex Carey Mulligan did a nude scene. i thought she was against nudity onscreen. in my opinion i can only hope they used a body double..I know some of you may say she is an actress but i jsst don’t get why she is strongly against it and then she does the complete opposite.

Hi ? and the gang, see my post a few paragraphs up where I posted about the Gather.com saying that Shia was
a bully to a woman & then to a man at a gym. But someone pointed out that it was a Nat’l Inquirer thing that Gather just posted too. Can’t exactly bet a horse on the Inquirer. LOL
I read about some of the Oscar nominations & it seems to me that they should have run with Wettest County & I still think it will be award material. The story is great & I am sure the screen play lived up to the book. (which I loved)
Also I must say that Shia looked like a nerd with the glasses, which is the way I pictured Ben Schulberg (his character) from the book. In the book, Ben sits down with Rebecca while she is dating Mr Handsome (capt of athletic team, looks like Paul Newman, going to join FBI and eventually run for Congress) & Ben said Mr. Handsome leaves him alone with Rebeccah while he gets a drink or something. Mr. Handsome does not consider Ben a possible threat & gives him a sneer. So you know that Ben is not supposed to be Mr. Beautiful. Rebeccah picks Ben over Mr. Handsome because she likes to intellectually spar & listen to Ben. Plus in the book, she mentions that she thinks he wants to marry her because if he runs for Congress, it would be great to be married to Rebeccah since she wants to work at the FBI, her father already does & I think her mother is a judge.
A cute part of the book is when Rebeccah tells Ben that her dad says Ben is just using her to get to him. (cause Ben keeps making appointments to meet her FBI dad to get info on Redford & her dad keeps no showing)LOL cause he doesn’t like Ben. So Shia’s character answers Rebeccah with, “Yeah, has your father seen you naked lately?” It’s really a cute love story going on with everything else. I think that this is a good character for Shia because he is not a glamour boy, but an intellectual, poor & nobody likes him. Usually he is kinda out there as a character, but in this one, he is the underdog.
With Wettest County, all the sympathy will go to Hardy’s character, not Shia’s. But you see Shia be the family baby & turn out to really help his brothers when he needs them. Plus he goes after a girl, Bertha, who is out of his league. He likes cars, money & clothes..but she is a Mennonite preacher’s daughter. He has to get her to marry him & he goes to different lengths to impress her, like buying gifts & he makes a special effort to have 2 nice cars to impress her with…whereas TCYK, he has only his intellect to impress the girl with…
I think Shia chose wisely both stories because they will both show him in a differnt light. It’s good for actors to show they can create all different kind of characters.
I wonder what happened to the movie Horns & now I wonder about the new Giant rumor. Do any of you know about any of those 2 movies?

Midget please calm down, I know that you would be devistated if something did happen to Shia. I don’t like my current crush (I use to crush on shia before this guy) BUT I would never want anything happening to him. Think about Midget, you love Shia, you do. Hey look at it on the bright side, Karoyn does not wear much make up and 80% of the time she dresses normal. there is always a happy side to things. Thanks for the understanding Mikel & ThumbsUp…BTW to Midget, Thumbs up is right. As I see it, we only need to worry about 2 things…Shia’s drinking too much & fighting because those 2 problems could cause him to be hurt. (physically hurt & then no more movies with our favorite lad for us) ..as for Kpho, I don’t see her as a perfect match, cause I’d like her to be tough with him & lay down the law. But maybe she just doesn’t know what to do or she may be in awe of him too. If she is still awe struck with him, she may be afraid to do anything. I think we need to pray for Shia, Kpho, Mama & Papa…but if they just force him to get a security guard I will be happy. Cause then we don’t have to worry that he will be hurt.
Hopefully, we will just end up being bored to death with pics of endless gas station trips. Anything but another fight, that was really scarey. But right now I am hoping for endless gas station stops, sharing lollipops with Kpho and lattes.
I hope he doesn’t get too much down time, but just starts on another film.
Also, I got to tell you that Kathrine Heigl is coming out in Jan 2012 with “One for the Money” and I think you will like it. I read one of the books, “Eleven On Top” by the same author & the main character is a scream. I laughed out loud in the house by myself, it was so funny. She’s a bailbondswoman & she has 2 hot guys after her. (Unfortunately from the trailer, I picked better & hotter guys than what was in the trailer. So I hope they can really act, cause the book made the guys sound really good. The guys in the trailer did not match what I conjured up in my mind.) LOL

@Midget…I know you don’t believe me right now, but someday(and probably a lot sooner than you think), you will meet your own Prince Charming. And I know someone 5ft 9, that married someone a lot shorter and they were married 39 yrs (which is when he died). They were a good match & he treated her like a queen, while her 6 ft plus, left her with 3 boys, ran around on her.
Also, the guy I never got over…was the least likely person I would be interested in. He looked like the Pillsbury Doughboy..blonde as could be, blue eyes & the whitest skin I ever saw..and I swear built like the Pillsbury Doughboy. (which is the nickname my girlfriends made up for him) It took him 3 mos. to talk me into going out with him & I never knew such a pest in my life. Up to then, I always went for dark hair, dark eyes and they were all thin as a rail. Finally I caved in & started to see Doughboy…and WOW! That’s all I can say. I am 65, in a different state plus Doughboy is 64 & still in NY state. We still talk on the phone. (Once I got sick & needed a routine procedure, which my insurance co wouldn’t pay for..) Talked to Doughboy on the phone, never divulged my location to him & he said of my quandry, “If I was there right now, I’d pick you up in my arms & take you to the hospital.” Midget, that is romance.WOW> Everything my Doughboy said was romantic!
Someday you will meet WOW too..and he won’t be anything like Shia or even anything you ever imagined. Hang in there because it will happen someday.
Shia is giving us a lot of pleasure. He gives us something to look forward too. But real life is gonna be a lot better, I promise you.

LOL How much gas can you need? I have my new car 5 months today & only have 1228 miles on it & 18 of those are from the dealer. I hope we get a trailer of Wettest County soon & I read that John Hillcoat usually releases his trailers 5 months in advance. We are due.
I got the idea from reading a few articles, that they released other films they thought would be up for an Oscar in 2012. I think they made a mistake in waiting because the story is interesting, the cast is top rate (I think Jason Clarke who plays Howard is underrated. I have seen him in several dramas & he has stood out to me), plus Shia, Hardy, Pearce, Oldham, Chastain & Mia…Hillcoat is directing. Makes me wonder what are they thinking by waiting.
Woe is the average Shiantologist! We can’t even get a gas station pic. LOL

I just looked at IMBD cast list for TCYK and it says that Anna Kendrick character is Dianna. Well if she is Shia’s (Ben Schulberg’s love interest), in the book her name was Rebeccah Osbourne. So who knows how this will turn out. Also, the character that plays his ex GF in the movie, was only mentioned by name once…and nothing about her working for the FBI. So who knows?
Further for WCITW which is now just WC, there was also something strange. They said there is nudity for Mia & Jessica’s character. I can see where that would happen with Jessica’s character, but if it’s Mia’s character it won’t compute unless she has already married Shia (Jack).
I don’t figure we will hear much of anything since we haven’t for so long. I read the TCYK was a wrap on Monday before Thanksgiving. This I figure is good news for Shia. He can be on a vacation, but hopefully he is getting some counselling with it. I never want to see anyone hit him again..unless it’s in a film & planned. But no more screwballs that want to say they hurt some Hollywood star so they feel they are important too.
BTW I looked & Weinstein Co released the Marily Monroe film this weekend. It wasn’t a big gross, but I can’t tell what it means since they didn’t release it to too many theaters. I still think that WC would have been a better bet, because Shia, Hardy & Hillcoat have a lot of fans that want to see that film. I wish they would have let it be released now so it would have a chance for the Oscars. (who knows what they are thinking)
Mia Wasikowska was in Jane Eyre & I saw where she had good reviews. (She is Shia’s wife in WC) She was good, but the wig she was wearing is undoubtedly the worst I have ever seen in a movie. I swear it was crooked in one scene. She is a good Jane Eyre & I’m sure she will make a great Bertha Minnix for Shia to fall in love with & marry.

Carey Mulligan just got a Hollywood Film Award for best supporting actress for Shame. Plus there is some buzz that she might get the Oscar for it as best supporting.
Lucky for Shia that he got to work with 2 great actresses, Carey & Mia. (I saw that Mia was advertised for best actress. But I don’t follow her much.) I watch everything that Carey is in…
Does anyone know if Shia is really going to be in the Giant movie or what about the Horns movie? They make it sound like these are firm deals but I guess Hollywood lets things fall apart quickly. I think he should just do a comedy next. The plot for the Giant movie sounded like it was something that Johnny Dep would like to do. He does that far out stuff really well.
Maybe Shia should just rest for a while & take a year off. He needs to enjoy what he has earned. Ryan Gosling disappeared for a year or so & then he came back like gang busters. Plus actors are suppose to observe regular people. He seems to keep busy traveling from gas station to gas station from what we have seen. LOL. Plus Karolyn could take him on a much needed clothes shopping spree. MORE LOL..just teasing, cause we aren’t used to such a long hiatus. But I am praying this time will help him in everyway to be happier, peaceful & enjoy what he has to the fullest.
